The Mission of Kiwanis International is to improve the world, one child and one community at a time. One of the ways that the Kiwanis Club of Greensboro works to do this is by providing shoes for needy school children. Our Shoe Program is in the fifth year. This program helps supply needy children in our community with shoes. Our social worker has the teachers from local schools choose the neediest children and the teachers size the children. Our club then purchases the shoes from local vendors at the best prices we can find. We then put the child’s name on the box of shoes and match the shoe with the child at the school.

We have seen the need to greatly expand the Shoe Program, and this event will serve as the vehicle to create additional funds that will allow us to do that. Thanks for your participation and support, and we hope you will join us each year as this becomes an annual event.
